Core Curriculum:
1. Derived from the Latin word for "race-course"
2. A course of general study that a person would need to follow to become a productive member of the local society. Can be broken into two different types:
A. School Curriculum: a "map" of learning to guide a person to create working knowledge.
B. Outside Curriculum: knowledge gained from outside the classroom experience. At home or just amoung other members of society. "Street Smarts" or just general etiquette that the society follows.
3. A "map" of basic knowledge or information that a person needs to understand (ie. Common Knowledge).
