TTE 255: Visual Communication Design
This course is the second required course in TTE dealing with communications technologies. The course will focus on the formal elements and key principles of graphic design such as line, shape, color, value, texture, balance, emphasis, and unity. You will apply these principles in a variety of assignments to help you gain further knowledge and understanding about graphic communication design both for print and the web. You will be introduced to these mediums by sketching out rough ideas, refining them on paper or on the computer, and making digital formatted “comps” via Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. You will capture and modify your own visual images both in the digital studio and in natural surroundings outside of class. Work will be completed both individually and in design teams. A capstone experience will be to create a marketing design solution for a real world problem in a class wide design challenge.
The TAs will be available on MWF from 10 - 2PM and TTH from 12 - 2pm). You can contact them via email: Ryan or Alan.
